Edith Gilbert is an author of books on wedding planning, party giving and modern etiquette. Her feature articles have been published in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and by United Feature Syndicate. She is a wedding consultant and a special events speaker. She summered in Charlevoix, Michigan - "a fashionable summer resort filled with deer, golf courses, and boats" - beginning in 1940 and has been a year round resident since 1962.
